Farnborough International Air show 2026
Again I was lucky enough to be invited to join one of out suppliers on a day out to the Farnborough International Air show on Wednesday 22 July 2026.
As it was a week day there were not too many aerial displays running, but there were enough to get a few shots none the less.
The weather was all over the place and hot.
The cloud cover on the other hand did make things interesting when trying to track the flying aircraft.
It felt good to get the camera out again as it's been a while.
The aerial demonstration lineup for Wednesday, July 22, 2026 (Day 3 of the Farnborough International Airshow) featured a mix of commercial testbeds, defense capabilities, next-generation electric flight, and aerobatic teams:
Commercial & Business Jets
- Airbus A350-1000: Flagship long-haul widebody airliner.
- Bombardier Global 8000: Ultra-long-range business jet.
Military & Fast Jets
- Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II: USAF Demonstration Team.
- Eurofighter F-2000A Typhoon: Italian Air Force display.
Helicopters & Tactical Demos
- Boeing CH-47 Chinook: UK Joint Aviation Command role demonstration.
Aerobatic Teams
- Fursan Al Emarat: UAE Air Force aerobatics team flying 7× Hongdu L-15E Falcon aircraft.
Electric, Hybrid & Next-Gen Tech
- Vertical Aerospace VA-1X (VX4): All-electric eVTOL demonstration.
- BETA Technologies CX300: Electric fixed-wing aircraft.
- GE Aerospace Hybrid Saab 340B: Flying testbed showcasing regional hybrid-electric propulsion.
